Two private Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Courses, managed by Four Seasons, are exclusively open to homeowners and guests of Punta Mita. After 18-holes, players can enjoy a cool drink and dine at The Tail of the Whale, the Punta Mita Golf Club’s restaurant named after Pacifico’s signature ocean hole.
Pacifíco, opened in December 1999, is an astonishing 19-hole championship course that features eight holes facing or playing along the ocean with each hole providing breathtaking ocean vistas. Hole #3 offers an optional par-3 called the Tail of the Whale, playing from a mainland tee box to an island green in Banderas Bay—the only natural island green in the world. The course plays between 5,037 and 7,014 yards.
Bahía, opened in November 2008, is designed similarly to Pacifíco, with an abundance of challenging rolling fairways and ocean vistas. As demanding as it is magnificent, the course measures 5,186 yards from the forward tees and 7,034 yards from the black tees. Both courses take full advantage of their seaside location, and offer views of whales during seasonal migration.
Members enjoy attentive Four Seasons service throughout the Punta Mita golf experience, from check-in to the roving beverage carts, as well as during post-play socializing in the Tail of the Whale restaurant and bar. You’ll also find a pro shop, driving range, putting green and locker rooms
